Curled leaves
The plant is defending itself: thirst, harsh light or pests.
Updated on 2026-07-17
Overview
Leaf curling is a defense mechanism. By reducing exposed surface, the plant limits transpiration or shields itself from direct rays.
Differential diagnosis
Curling upward → thirst or strong light.
Curling downward → aphids or virus.
With stippling → spider mites.
Natural remedies
Raise humidity, move out of direct sun, inspect leaf undersides with a magnifier.
Treatments
If pests: 2% neem oil every 7 days for 3 weeks.
Prevention
Weekly inspection, stable humidity.
